How Christmas is like a treasure hunt.
Posted on: 23/12/2019So the last Christmas hat was taken off and the unusual prizes awarded by Black Cat Treasure Hunts were celebrated one more time and then put safely away. I realised what an excellent year this had been and how much fun the Christmas treasure hunts had proved to be. It started me thinking as to whether any of the other style of treasure hunts we offer had a Christmas link up too. I was surprised at the results.
Teambuilding treasure hunts have become Black Cat`s bestseller this year and over Christmas is the ideal time to `teambuild` with your family and friends. Giving and receiving presents, eating and drinking together, playing a few games maybe and generally catching up,possibly for the only time in the year with some relations is a great way to get your`team`functioning well.
Birthday treasure hunts are perfect for that hard to buy for person who likes to get out and about, but also enjoys a challenge at the same time. Christmas link?..well..lets not forget the real meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the anniversary of his birth each year. This brings me nicely on to anniversary treasure hunts. These type of hunt lend themselves well to being personalised and the inclusion of information and photos about the participants into the questions and challenges.
Hen party treasure hunts are very popular for Black Cat Treasure Hunts. However, it was difficult to get a Christmas tie-in here! Roast Hen rather than Roast Turkey with all the trimmings doesn`t quite work unfortunately. On the other hand some of the hen parties attempt the treasure hunt in one group and it reminds me of a leader with their disciples as they venture forth. Enough said!
Many families have their own Christmas traditions whether it is a Christmas walk after lunch or adopting the Scandanavian approach of opening presents on Christmas Eve.
