Inspired to think or thinking about inspiring?
Posted on: 11/06/2021Watching someone put together an exam revision timetable has got me thinking as to when the best days of the week and times of the day to think clearly and achieve the most effective outcomes are.
Monday..morning...well ..on the downside there is the `Monday morning feeling`, but set against that and probably a stronger factor in this context is the determined feeling to set down a strong message at the start of the week. I mean business!
Tuesday..into the week and focusing on a specific goal. It feels good to be able to tick off as done something identified on Monday. Good to get an `early win`.
Wednesday..sometimes determines how successful the week as a whole is going to be judged. Often need to `put in the hard yards`and work later to ensure the success of Tuesday was not wasted.
Thursday...depending on how well Wednesday went, I like to use Thursday as an experimental day. Implement those creative ideas that have been put off or will put you ahead of the competition. Nothing to lose after the solid days of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Friday...round things up. Make sure everything is tied up. Utilise other peoples `feel good factor` with the weekend approaching. Find out if they are ready to commit to your suggestions/proposals.
Saturday..Short burst on Saturday morning to make sure nothing has slipped through the net.
Sunday..day off..unless you have not got a plan ready for what you are doing next week.
